Effective: March 25, 2026

These ParentSquare AI Terms (these “AI Terms”) form a part of the ParentSquare School Agreement or other agreement entered between District and ParentSquare (the “Agreement”). These AI Terms apply to the generative artificial intelligence features that ParentSquare makes available to District and its Users as part of the Subscription Services (the “AI Offerings”). These AI Terms control with respect to the AI Offerings in the event of a conflict with the Agreement. 

BY USING THE AI OFFERINGS, DISTRICT IS CONSENTING TO THESE AI TERMS. IF DISTRICT DOES NOT CONSENT TO THESE AI TERMS, PARENTSQUARE DOES NOT AUTHORIZE DISTRICT OR ITS USERS TO USE THE AI OFFERINGS.

1. Certain Definitions.

“Input” means any data, query, prompt, instruction, or other content used by an AI Offering originating from District or a User.

“Output” means any content, recommendation, analysis, prediction, or other result generated and returned to District or a User by an AI Offering in response to an Input.

Capitalized terms used and not defined in these AI Terms have the meanings given to them in the Agreement, or if not defined in the Agreement, then such capitalized terms shall have the meanings given to them in the ParentSquare School Agreement.

2. AI Offerings. 

The use of the AI Offerings by District is voluntary. ParentSquare, in its sole discretion, may change or discontinue the AI Offerings at any time without notice.

As of the effective date of these AI Terms, the AI Offerings include the following:

• AI alt text: Generates a written description of an image
• AI chatbot for Smart Sites: Assists users with website inquiries
• AI content moderation: Blocks delivery of messages that violate our Terms of Use
• AI language translation: Translates communications between Users and District, and includes LLM-powered translation in certain languages for increased context, tone, accuracy
• AI post rewrite: Rewrites the content of a post to maximize translatability

3. Input and Output.

3.1. ParentSquare Obligations. The AI Offerings provide Output in response to Input. As between District and ParentSquare, Input and Output shall be owned by District, subject to ParentSquare’s rights to use Aggregated Usage Data as set forth in the ParentSquare School Agreement. ParentSquare will not permit its third-party subcontractors to use Input or Output to train or improve their models.

3.2. District Obligations.

• (a) Input. District is responsible for District’s and its Users’ provision of Input. District represents and warrants that District and its Users have all necessary rights to provide Input into the AI Offerings. ParentSquare will not be liable for any damages resulting from Input that District or its Users do not have sufficient rights to provide.
• (b) Output. As between District and ParentSquare, District is responsible for its and its Users’ use of Output, including determining whether Output is accurate, appropriate its intended use, and compliant with District’s internal policies.
• (c) Restrictions. District must not (and must not permit Users to): (i) provide Input that either violates third party rights or Applicable Laws or is intended, or would reasonably be expected, to generate Output that does so; (ii) use Output in a manner that District knows, or reasonably should know, violates third party rights or Applicable Laws; or (iii) represent that Output is human generated or approved or endorsed by ParentSquare.

3.3 Disclaimers. Output is generated by artificial intelligence, utilizing technology provided by ParentSquare’s third-party subcontractors. ParentSquare makes no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness or reliability of Output or that it does not violate third party rights or Applicable Law. Due to the nature of the AI Offerings, (i) Output may not be unique or exclusive to District and its Users, (ii) the same or similar Input may yield differing Output, (iii) Output may be factually incorrect, misleading, or irrelevant, and (iv) Output does not represent the recommendations or views of ParentSquare or its third-party subcontractors. The AI Offerings are provided AS IS without warranty of any kind.
