For over a decade, Remind has helped people connect with the communities they serve. Today, millions of people use Remind across K-12 schools, as well as youth organizations, nonprofits, sports programs, camps, and other learning and community groups.
Since Remind joined ParentSquare, we've spent a lot of time listening to customers and thinking about how to best serve our communities for the long term. Here’s everything you need to know about what’s ahead.
Going forward, Remind will have a distinct audience within the ParentSquare family.
Remind will serve individual teachers as well as organizations outside of K-12 schools and districts.
Remind Chat, Remind's free offering, will continue to be available to individual K-12 teachers. Remind Hub will now only be available to new customers outside of K-12 schools and districts, and we’ll be building new features for these learning and community groups that make Remind even easier to get started with, manage, and use.
ParentSquare is our comprehensive communication and family engagement platform for K-12 schools and districts.
With district-wide communication, SIS rostering, attendance, forms, payments, websites, and more, ParentSquare brings together school-home communication and family engagement in one unified K-12 platform. All K-12 schools and districts looking for a new communication solution will be directed to ParentSquare.
For current K-12 school and district customers using Remind Hub, your options will depend on whether you currently use automated rostering, including Clever, Classlink, and SFTP.
And again, Remind Chat will continue to be available to individual K-12 teachers who want to message their own classes and families.
Remind's simplicity makes it a natural fit for learning and community groups that need an easy way to stay connected with the people they serve, like youth and extracurricular organizations, nonprofits, sports programs, camps, after-school programs, and more.
These groups can continue using Remind Hub, including those that use SFTP rostering. We’re also working on making improvements to the Remind experience to better meet their needs, and we’ll share more about these changes early next year.
The goal of Remind has always been to make meaningful communication easier.
Giving Remind a clearer role allows us to invest more deeply in the distinct strengths of each platform: ParentSquare for comprehensive K-12 communication and family engagement, and Remind for individual K-12 teachers as well as learning and community groups.
We're excited about what's ahead, and we're grateful to the millions of people who continue to use Remind to teach, learn, and connect.
