Introducing the Remind plan

How-to and Tips

In January, we partnered with a diverse group of schools and districts to understand how they communicated with families.

After more than 500 conversations, we learned that many educators were already using Remind to communicate quickly and effectively. Instead of spending time on unread emails and forgotten flyers, they were focused on making communication meaningful. From attendance interventions to dinner-table brainteasers to multilingual tutoring sessions, we were inspired by the creative ways educators across the country were using Remind. These conversations showed us that meaningful communication was possible, but it wasn't easy—especially when it came to supporting everyone. Schools struggled to involve hard-to-reach families, teachers needed more flexibility, and educators spent hours documenting communication—yet administrators still had limited insight into who was communicating with whom. We've spent the past seven months building a product to address these obstacles and are thrilled to officially announce the launch of School and District Plans.

How School and District Plans Work

1. Involve the hardest-to-reach families

Reach everyone by syncing Remind with your roster system. Detailed statistics about how teachers, students, and parents communicate help you see and support every family in your community.

"Now that we're on a School Plan, my teachers are able to connect with parents on a regular basis."P.A. White, principal, Leal Elementary School

2. Make meaningful communication easier

140-character text messages don't always cut it. Give teachers more flexibility with longer messages and voice calls. Remind voice calls can reach any cellphone or landline without showing personal phone numbers, allowing teachers to call parents from their personal phones and control their availability with Office Hours.

“A School Plan helps parents feel ownership of Groton Elementary School, even if they can't be here in person.”Kent Maslin. principal, Groton Elementary School

3. Protect your community

Everyone in your school community shares accountability with automatic documentation for messages, voice calls, and participants. Admin management controls make it simple to set up groups that work for you, update user information, and add or remove people from your community on Remind.

“If an issue arises, admin management controls allow us to quickly resolve the issue with the district.”Barbi Ernst, technology coordinator, Clifton Middle School
