2015 year in review

News

As the new year begins, here's a look back at what happened in 2015. Last year was a big one for the Remind community—thanks for being part of it!

Teachers, students, and parents on Remind

That's "billions" with a "b"—and up 110% from one year ago. In fact, we delivered our first billion messages just last December.

(During Back to School 2015, teachers, students, and parents formed 13.5 million new connections. On the busiest day, 7 million messages were sent on Remind.)

Where we are

In the United States, Remind is actively used in

  • Half of all of public schools
  • and 3 in 4 school districts.

Here's how some of that looks by state:

  • Most connected states: Texas, California, Georgia, and Florida
  • Fastest-growing states: California, Texas, New York, and Florida

The Remind community

Our community includes 1481 Remind Connected Educators and 143 Remind Connected Administrators in 44 states.

Last year, 40 educators shared their feedback, ideas, and challenges directly with our CEO.On the ground, our team...

  • sent out 26 swag kits
  • attended 48 conferences
  • and visited 100 local schools.

Life at Remind

The dogs of Remind include Huey, Bruno, Helen, Clover, Thor, and Colonel Mustard. #squadgoals

We spent 10 hack days working on new projects. One of the features that originated from a 2015 hack day? Remind Translate.

Finally, we went through 320 pounds of coffee beans in the process. This works out to about 7.5 pounds each week...and that's just in the office.

Happy New Year! We can't wait to see what's in store for 2016.
