Remind offers online tutoring in math and ELA subjects to students in grades K-12, and we're always looking for experienced, engaging tutors to join us.
We'll schedule students, manage your calendar, and collect payments, so you can focus on what really matters: teaching.
To tutor with Remind, we require that you are either a certified teacher with at least a year of teaching experience in the classroom or have several years of tutoring experience.
You can teach one or more of the following subjects: 1st–6th grade math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, AP Calculus AB & BC, AP Statistics, Statistics, and 1st–6th grade English.
You are eligible to work in the United States and you must pass a background check.
You’ll be paid twice a month through direct deposit.
Once you’re a Remind tutor, you’ll set your regular availability. Then we’ll schedule you with students based on the hours you’ve set and the subjects you teach. Sessions are either 40 or 60 minutes long.
We ask that tutors provide at least 5 hours of availability a week.
Monday through Friday: 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Pacific time
Saturday and Sunday: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Pacific time
Tutoring sessions are scheduled in advance for either 40 or 60 minutes.
Before a tutoring session, you’ll receive details about the student and homework directly from the student or parent through secure messaging on Remind.
During a tutoring session, you’ll work with the student through video on the Remind web platform and a virtual whiteboard. You’ll have access to our tutoring curriculum resources to pull from as needed.
You’ll need a computer or laptop with a strong internet connection. An additional touchscreen device is preferred, but optional.
We believe in creating a positive and supportive learning environment that makes a difference in a student’s long-term academic success.
Remind Tutoring is designed for students to actively solve problems and understand concepts on their own through guiding questions and your encouragement.
