Celebrating meaningful communication with RCEs

Community

This month, we partnered with five Remind Connected Educators from around the country to celebrate meaningful communication at their schools—with donuts! These events gave RCEs the chance to bring their communities together and share tips for building relationships with students and parents. Each RCE promoted their event by hanging flyers in the teachers' lounge and sending a few announcements to their colleagues on Remind. On the morning of, they picked up donuts and coffee, laid out swag, and facilitated casual conversations about bridging the gap between school and home.

How it went

"Once we got going, I was so engrossed in the teachers' excitement that I almost forgot to take photos. My principal even decided to start a Remind account for himself!"—Christina Finn, Ridgewood High School (Florida)"This morning was great! We had lots of conversations about how to use Remind, and I have two meetings set up with teachers this week so I can show them how to use it."—Ashley Miller, Conrad Schools of Science (Delaware)"The staff was so excited to have a treat the morning before we left for a field trip. I received thank-yous all day long, and my principal is now interested in upgrading to a Remind School Plan!"—Diane Villarreal, John Whistler Elementary School (Illinois)"The community event brought the staff together in a positive environment and provided more insight into the power of communication at school."—Amy Langhorst, Spring Valley High School (Nevada)"Our event went perfectly. We shared stories about how our own children's teachers use Remind and tips for getting more parents signed up. Our principal loved seeing us collaborate on the topic of meaningful communication."—Quinten Oldaker, French Creek Elementary School (West Virginia)
